Musculoskeltal (MSK) Injection

  • Description - MSK Ultrasound has become a popular tool not just for diagnostic imaging of musculoskeletal stuctures, but also for the rapidly growing application of ultrasound use in pain management. Ultrasound provides real time imaging for precise needle location to administer medicine directly where it is needed, such as in the case of  tendon injection.  Fluid aspiration for conditions such as Bakers Cysts can also be managed under ultrasound guidance.  Ultrasound does not use ionizing radiation and provides a clear image of soft tissues that do not show up well on general x-rays studies.

In the ADI outpatient imaging office, all MSK ultrasound guided injections and aspirations are performed by an

        experienced Fellowship trained MSK radiologist.
